The renewal of the certificate is very important to keep your access assets, which is why it is important to renew it.
Small reminder, the certificate expires after 1 year, but you should not wait for its expiration to renew it, because once the certificate expired, you will lose access to the VPN which will allow you to connect to the server and renew your certificate
So to renew your certificate, you must in a first step, connect to VPN.
